We kissed goodbye on a silent morning

When thorns and lilies lay in deep slumber

Still departing, we did hug each other

And smiles on our face go a sorrowing

In my heart, we never paused for a beat

Nor did the blue moon, our day light spells break

For the dark night, a dream is ours to make

With tears running, never paused a breathe

For a love, pure in a heart still broken

And now here we part, never returning

And a thousand thoughts are through me running

From the tears and the words left unspoken

To the raging storm that darkens my view
